Your Sacred Shell
A tender sea creature makes its home inside a shell—both for protection and for solace. Like a monk who chooses to live in solitude on a mountaintop rather than interacting with the world at large, the creature chooses a different life. Instead of the mountain, it has chosen the sea—for the pure enjoyment of riding the waves, exploring itself, and moving in joy.
When interaction is desired, it washes to shore, peeking out to dig in the sand—perhaps even being scooped up in a child’s sand bucket. That is the rhythm of life: the freedom to isolate, to go within, or to interact. These choices are yours and yours alone. None are good or bad, unless the shell becomes a hiding place born of fear rather than a sanctuary of choice.
Peek outside your shell. Allow yourself moments of joy with others. Solitude will always be there for you, just as easily reclaimed as closing your eyes—like the clam drawing closed its shell. Dive deep within, then explore without, knowing you are always protected, always safe inside your own personal home.
Float through the world on the currents of vibration, just as the sea carries its dwellers. Receive what life offers with delight, then retreat to your shell or your mountaintop when ready.
Enjoy life.
