You Hold the Keys
Oct 1 25
Giving away the power of your inner resonance is like handing over the keys of your own car to another driver, hoping they are going in the direction you wish to go. If you’re unclear about your destination or waypoint, outside guidance can be helpful—it may nudge you toward remembering that you are, in fact, the best navigator and experiencer of your own life.
Attending church, synagogue, or any spiritual gathering can be a beautiful way to prime the pump—to awaken your motor. But once the engine is running, the driving is up to you. The spark provided is a gift; your role is to expand on it, gain momentum, and steer in your own direction. Thank those who helped start your engine, then follow where you are divinely led.
Think of it this way: a race car would never reach its destination if it kept circling back to the starting point just to refuel. Instead, you will find many refilling and expansion points along your way—you don’t need to return to where you began. Gratitude for all who provide sustenance and maintenance for your spirit and body is important, but your intention is to keep moving forward on your own journey.
There is no final destination. The views keep shifting, the experiences keep expanding, and delightful surprises are always available. Seemingly barren landscapes serve their purpose as much as lush rainforests—each makes the other shine more brightly. Both are relevant, both are sacred.
Each day, each moment, is a new starting point. You hold the keys, and you carry your own map.
Enjoy the journey.
