Writing the Story of Your Life

Begin with the end in mind. How do you want the last chapter to read? Or not even the last chapter. If your life were a book, and it is, would you want to read it? Would it compel you to turn the next page? Call you toward it? If not, every day, every waking moment is the opportunity to begin again.

You are the author, the "I AM" of your life. It can be just as you desire, no question. It takes living as you want it to be rather than as you do not want it to be. It may be just as you’d want to read or experience. Live life how you’d want to read. Rather than a book or film or anything that doesn't hold your attention and you cast aside, make sure your life is as you’d have it. One that you’d want to be engrossed in.

No one else writes your stories. Yes, others may have had a hand in guiding you as you were growing up, in their effort to control their narrative and others, but once you know, you know. Nothing else will ever be acceptable now that you are aware that you are in complete control and have the support of the entire universe to be, do, and have anything and everything you’ve ever dreamed or hoped for. Isn’t that great?

You may think yes, then immediately turn to no. It’s a big responsibility knowing that you have autonomy over your own life. Be the story, the inspiration, the hero or heroine of your novel. Or be a background guest. You’re in it without fail; you made that choice when you came. You may as well enjoy the role and define it. Build the character as you would in the story. Let others know the substance and clearly define who YOU are. You are unique and wonderfully made. Be the you you came to be. It doesn't need or have to be anything other than what you want, as long as it is that.

Live life wide open according to your own script.
