Unmasking the True Self: Rediscovering Your Authentic Essence
Fractured mirrors offered distorted shapes, reminiscent of a not-so-fun house of mirrors. It is like that, though, if you'll allow yourself to rise above and view from a perspective that is always available to you, yet may not be realized by you. The perspective you achieve through your dreams, through your theta state, reveals the distortion of yourself that may come from thoughts projected onto you, which you may have picked up along your physical trail.
You may try on various masks in the role or personality you are playing, but you can also put them down. Connect back to your true essence and source—what you were before you transitioned into who you believe yourself to be now. This is only a role or mask, and it can be changed at any point. It may seem as though it is glued to you, not separate from you, but that is also why it may not be comfortable. Lay down all that you've picked up. Some roles suit you and are congruent with your true self, while others didn’t fit from the start. You were told or projected that certain roles were who you were, and you've carried that role for far too long.
Like a long-running play on Broadway or another large stage, it has become a habit, and the role isn't even embodied by you at all. You were granted the position, so you felt it was a mandatory role. It is not. The lights are dim, and there is no need to carry it further. Rest and settle into who you are and what your desires are. This stage is the biggest role you ever wanted to achieve, and you may decide how you want to express it.
The mirrors are smooth, and any role or mask you don is of your choice. Choose one that fits, one that you write and feel comfortable in. The stage is yours. Any discomfort you feel comes from the distortion of the cracks. How you’re viewing yourself is not the you we see or who you truly are. Step into the light of day. See yourself through closed eyes. You are well-loved; feel that.
