Enjoying the Journey

Gentle pumping of your brakes or climbing upward to slow momentum may be desired if you detect that your trajectory feels like it is heading in the wrong direction. It may not actually be the wrong direction, but rather a correction in course or clarification that necessitates slowing down. Taking a turn or navigating a large curve is sometimes easier with some speed; however, there is a point where too much speed can cause you to run off track. Your speed of momentum is always guided by your internal guidance—listen to it.

If you're going blindly with full speed ahead and want to course-correct, it needs to be done incrementally. Stopping abruptly can lead to a tumble off the rails or a few bumps and bruises, or even worse, depending on your momentum and speed before the abrupt change. Thought may slow the process or progress, but it is best for you to move at a speed that is enjoyable, allowing you to see the sights along the way rather than having them blur past without recognition or appreciation. Enjoy the journey; that is what should be prioritized at all costs.

Arrival at a place you believe you want to go and finishing up is not the point of any of it. It is the experience and savoring of each step, each phase, and each morsel that you choose to ingest. Just because it’s a dish you enjoy doesn’t mean you should speed through it to get it into your physical body. No, it requires savoring in order to fully appreciate the experience. This applies to everything.

Take a bit at a time; enjoy the momentum, knowing it is all there for you. Speed and momentum are not one and the same. It’s like the tortoise and the hare: you still arrive and enjoy each step, never wavering in your purpose, which is the joy of life. Slow in the curves; course-correct or react continuously. Enjoy the journey.
