Through the Eye of a Needle

Threading a needle requires focused attention and cooperation — not only of the thread, but also the steadiness of the hand receiving as well as delivering. Once joined, the weight of the needle can float freely, carried and supported by the thread.

The point, the sharpness of the needle, allows the thread to pass through the fabric it is embroidering or embellishing. In some cases, it repairs — stitching together what was once whole, or joining two previously separate fabrics. It may also add an outside adornment, whether for utility or for pure embellishment.

This is the way of you. When knowingly threaded and led by the very thread of universal consciousness, you hold the ability to pierce even the toughest exteriors without harm. You weave magic throughout the fabric of the universe — bringing together people, beings, or energies that might otherwise never gather. You embellish and add to the whole without damage.

The stitching brings together varying components into a beautiful creation, whether garment or tapestry — something useful, or simply something radiant. It brings joy to the observer, or to the one who wears it, offering comfort, warmth, protection, or delight.

It is neither your job nor your desire to change the components — yet you do, simply by being. By allowing your thread to be the strength that binds, you become the very glue that holds the universe together.

Spread the thread. Spread the strength. Spread the core of all: the love of self and of others. Link, bind, embellish all that you touch, so that all may be repaired or unified by each encounter. Do what comes naturally. Nothing is permanent, and all may be changed or rearranged to suit those who benefit from the gift of connection.

You are each a thread in the fabric of the universe — together creating the most beautiful, the most useful tapestry of creation.
