The Freedom of Self-Defined Labels: Choosing Your Identity

We’re not fond of labels, but if you choose to carry one or put one on yourself, make sure that it is one that you can expand into and allow yourself the freedom of dissolving or expanding beyond the label you place on yourself. As long as the label is one of your choosing, and not one that you allow others to impose. The latter refers to anything such as a diagnosis of a condition or a state of your being.

Choose it if it feels good, like a nice suit that you may wear for a bit for a special occasion, but can be shed if it no longer serves you. A suit you’d wear for a business meeting would be awkward, clumsy, and inappropriate for working in your garden. Use labels that suit you, not define you; that enhance you and are a symbol of where you want to go. Then you can go and shed it.

You tend to confine yourself like shackles to labels, and they do not serve you. Feel into yourself. Decide what label you will wear or not. Use them for your own energetic purpose. You are what you choose and what you believe, even if it may not have presented itself yet. Be all that you want, whether it is well, an author, or something else. You choose. Wear only the labels that you want.
