The Cathedral of You

Light, when filtered through a myriad of spectrums and sources, results in varying shades of opacity, density, and color. It never changes the base source—the pure, bright white light that it is—yet it produces more colors than are even known in the spectrum you reside within. As the rays beam through the varying spectrums or facets, different lights—and therefore feelings—are experienced through the casted light.

Some feel heavy and dark, while others feel light and vibrant, each emanating from the same source as they pass through filters. It is like viewing stained glass: various colors revealed, all deriving from one light.

You too are beaming from that same pure source—the bright, clean light within you—filtering through your life’s experiences and challenges that tint your outlook in varying degrees. Knowing that it is pure source, and that you may either remove the filters or look beyond them, clears the view.

Like cleaning your own internal stained glass, what once seemed fogged over or crusted—where you were only seeing residue, film, or debris of past experiences—can clear. The knowing that the light exists and persists, and that the breath is your cleaning agent, allows you to feel and enjoy the prisms of your life.

Rather than focusing on the dirty window, you may once again enjoy the view outward—or the feeling of the lens through which you see. Appreciate the colors and shapes of your stained glass, the various pieces once fractured but now brought together to form the beautiful whole work of art that is you.

Admire and appreciate the temple of your body and the stained glass masterpiece you have created.
