Opening the Windows of Self

Refreshing and committing to remembering who you are by opening the windows of your internal self was a commitment you made prior to inhabiting the physical self of this—only this—container in this lifetime experience. You knew that you would become so embedded in the game that the connection you thought was so vibrant and strong could feel forgotten or lost within the game, yet you chose to come with that possibility, even probability.

The commitment you made to yourself was to practice the moments—the pauses—to open the windows of your physical self, your temporary home, and allow the whole of you to flow through like a breeze on a temperate day. In acknowledging and thanking, you remember the truth of you.

In a nod to yourself, you then continue the game or experience you are in with the fullness and gusto that it is REAL. Squeeze all there is out of this experience—there is always more. You tap into the fullness, the vastness of possibilities, only by doing and following what appeals to you.

What brings joy and excitement to one is not what may bring it to you. Each of you is set with internal waypoints or sensors as to what lights you up and creates the most excitement. That is why comparison and contrast with what others are doing may bring feelings of envy or strife—it is not your path, your dharma, your truth, to follow anyone else’s joy.

So unique are your own paths that each of you is formed in them only by your own truth and internal barometer. That is why it is important for you to keep the windows open, your breath flowing intentionally to activate and inform your sensors. Trust your internal guidance without judging others or wearing the judgment of others on you. Feel your own guidance and know it is truth.

Just as the body’s veins branch into countless tributaries, so too do our inner paths. Following a single vein within your own being can be the most enjoyable journey, yet there are many off-shoots carrying life to different parts of you. Each breath you take oxygenates these inner rivers, clearing blockages, opening forgotten channels, and allowing new vitality to flow. In this way, intentional breath becomes not only remembrance, but circulation—of truth, joy, and possibility.
