Green Life of Expansion

Like a plant in need of nourishment, the physical body shows its need as well. Others may not be as attuned to notice, occupied as they are with their own lives and the care of others. Yet the signs are there in plain view.

Does the plant notice its own withering leaves, its limpness or lack of vibrancy? Likely not. But just a sprinkle of water is all it takes to perk up the leaves and bring color back to the veins.

You too may be like a withering leaf on the vine—living and moving through your day-to-day tasks, yet still in need of nourishment, much like the plant. For you are an energetic being. Fresh air, clean water, and the breath—like the gentle breeze—are the vital nutrients needed for your vibrancy, for the color to return to your face and hands, for you to feel alive again.

It is the intentional act of care—the allowing of the need to be met—that shows you are worthy of attention and self-care. Like the unattended plant shoved off to the side, receiving no love or attention, you too will wither without it.

You are capable of restoring your own color and vitality through love, breath, and water—through the simple act of knowing your worth. Caring for yourself is the single most important aspect of health. Once your own soil is moist and cared for, once you’ve breathed life into your cells first and foremost, your body will guide and direct any further attention needed.

Love yourself first. Only then can love overflow from your full pot to another. Fill your own cup. Sip the elixir of life—your beautiful breath—with the intention and reverence it deserves. Live the full, green life of expansion.
