Embracing Joy as Life's True Purpose
Purpose is such a loaded word and concept, is it not? Rather than seeming to have purpose, the purpose is to bring you joy. What else does anyone do other than to bring joy by being, doing, or having it?
Purpose is heavy and laden with guilt or the weight of some greater purpose in life, other than to be free and to enjoy. That is your purpose. Your goal in life, should you want one, is to be free and to enjoy.
Is a mother whose sole job in life was to have or bear children better than one who had sex for the pure enjoyment of it? Likely not. The one who is each day filled with curiosity and joy or wonder is the best teacher, guide, and mentor, better than one who feels they’ve come off the mount with a heavy tablet that must inform the world of what should be done or lived by.
So, skip into the sunset, play, revel in the nuances of the smallest details, or in the playfulness of a joke. Bringing laughter to yourself and in turn to others is your purpose. If you must have a goal, that should be it. Bring joy. What greater purpose is there than that?
Experience as much as you can all along the spectrum, both what you consider good and what you consider bad. For those who are stuck or standing still, provide inspiration through your being as you do. You are light, you are love, you are beautifully and wonderfully made, and never doubt it.
Lustrous and illustrious is your presence. Polish it off, let it shine through, and enjoy it all the while.
