When Diversion is Devotion

There are things added purely for entertainment value—like cards attached to the spokes of a child’s bike or streamers fastened to the grill of a box fan. They serve no intended purpose other than to bring a level of excitement to the user or the observer. The clickety-clack sounds of the playing cards as the wheels spin, or the visual of the streamers blowing in the wind, bring a sense of jubilation or amusement to anyone who notices.

The key is in the noticing.

Noticing what allows you to divert your attention—briefly—from the task at hand or from whatever currently occupies your mind raises your vibration during the time you’re noticing.

Now what if you allowed that feeling, no matter the source, to be the thing you’re aware of once it hits? Once it shifts, even slightly?

If you shift your perspective—your awareness and attention—to the physiological effect of that slight shift, rather than allowing your mind to return immediately to its previous task, that is the awareness and vibrational mastery that creates worlds.

You have control, through your attention and awareness, of the shift in your vibrational affect or mood. You can be the master of zen, like a Tibetan monk.

Practice the feeling of relief, of joy, of any desired emotion—

Begin by noticing it,

Then focusing on it,

Then increasing or turning toward it at will.

You have the choice.

You have the power.

And it begins with only awareness.

No matter your situation, the slightest shift in your physical body is your calling card—to settle into the feeling you desire.

Your choice.
