Choosing the Sweetness of Life: The Power of Appreciation
Choose the sweetness of life always over the sour if that is what you want more of. The choice of love, goodness, and sweetness—like honey—is available at all times, as is the sting of the bee if you choose that. With all experiences, there is wanted and unwanted, rather than good or bad. You can find the polar opposite of everything you want to experience if you look for it, but why would you? It may be so that you can again experience and appreciate the sweetness of what is desired. If all you had or experienced was sweetness, you might grow bored or even fail to recognize it for the good that it is.
So, time and again, you'll experience the sting of disappointment only to truly appreciate where you are. Where you are now is desired, and if fully appreciated, it will move you toward more of the things—people, places, and experiences—that bring you pleasure or contentment. It is always your choice. To continue in the direction of what you want, you must fully appreciate where you are now. Berating or condemning your current situation will move you, as you are always in motion, toward more discontent. However, learning to feel satisfaction, understanding, and happiness about where you are will guide you in the direction of your desire.
Condemnation or appreciation; it is your choice. Focus only on the end of the polarity stick that you want to move toward. Choose the sweetness of life. The sting won't be removed, but you won't notice it if you are not focused on that.
