Your Perspective:The Choice of Joy and Freedom
What may seem chaotic at first glance can actually be controlled or orchestrated freedom. Looking at only a small portion of anything—a composition of musical chords or a subsection of a large group of people—may not provide the full picture of what could be a well-orchestrated play or symphony. At times, focusing too closely on any one portion may evoke discomfort, whereas zooming out to gain a broader perspective can soothe your senses and bring you peace.
If examining a more microscopic detail of any given situation brings you discomfort, step back until the feeling subsides. If, even then, you are unable to find relief, adjust your view; turn your cheek, or about-face. If your perspective at any moment doesn’t bring you at least a modicum of contentment or pleasure, change it. It may seem like you’re avoiding what some call reality, but it’s actually creating a reality that you prefer.
You are in control of your viewpoint, your opinion, and your feelings about anything. So why dwell on anything that doesn’t feel good? Don’t. Choose feeling good over fretting. Choose simplicity over complication. Just choose. It’s always your choice. Everything is a choice.
