Your Living Circuitry
Energy is carried through the body by impulses and cellular activity—like an underground network of informants. Exactly like that, the impulses are electrical, just as when viewing a circuit board lighting up—bringing awareness or sensations to certain areas that may need attention. Once awareness is evident, a response may occur, such as scratching an itch—all in a matter of nanoseconds and often without your conscious awareness.
However, if you were to tune in and actually feel the impulses firing synapses in your body, you’d notice that they inform you of all manner of things—both external and internal. Whether they’re signaling danger on your path, prompting you to make a change, or something as small as scratching an itch, these impulses are constantly communicating.
Tuning in regularly not only keeps your circuitry in peak performance—it also responds to your attention like a happy puppy. When you notice, it notices back. It responds whether in the form of reaching for what your body craves, making a spontaneous turn off the freeway before unknown traffic, or illuminating the path toward your deepest desires.
Feel into it. Be aware. Thank the body that serves you in more ways than you may understand—not only keeping you alive but acting as a cohort in a secret underground movement, always on the lookout for you. Treat your body well, as you would your favorite pet. Acknowledge it, appreciate it, even pat it down in gratitude. You’ll be glad you did.
