The Breath of Renewal
Each breath inhaled deeply allows the body to release and relax. This experience is like the wind blowing gently through the trees and other vegetation, loosening the dead or dying leaves and limbs that no longer serve it. The thoughts, beliefs, and energies that you hold, which no longer benefit you, can be released gently through a continuous practice of inhaling and exhaling.
One of the many functions derived from the breath is this gentle cathartic process of loosening those leaves, thoughts, and stored energies that have been locked in place or solidified by pressure. The breeze and the breath sweep away what is no longer needed, creating room for new and tender openings that are receptive to change and new awareness.
The old or dead debris has served its purpose; it was lush and provided sustenance when it arrived, but it is no longer beneficial, just as the fallen leaves no longer serve the tree. Does the tree mourn the fallen leaves? No, why would it? The fallen leaves now provide a bed of comfort for the footfalls of someone else. Your experiences do the same, creating a foundation that others may walk upon and build upon.
Every individual is on their own path and will be just fine. It is never your worry to prepare the path for them. Each person finds their way, guided by their own internal compass. You will each cross paths at some point; bless those crossings without trying to hold onto them. Allow the flow, like the wind in the breeze, without the tree directing where it will land. Keep flourishing and sprouting, reaching new heights to allow for new perspectives.
