Stoking the Flame

Like candle wax melting to the base of a candle, revealing the wick of truth and continuation — like a tiny prize hidden in the layers of a king’s cake — you, your soul, and your true purpose are within you.

They are revealed layer by layer through continuous unfolding and breathing with intent into the depths of who you are — beneath the layers of personality, traits, and the states you’ve taken on or encountered.

Always there, your inner flame burns bright, stoked like the continuous flame carried for the Olympics. The stoking is done by the furnace of your heartbeat — the core of your truth — and the breath you breathe.

When done intentionally, the furnace is filled with your fire, your passion, and your purpose. Always lit, the pilot light of you — but set to full flame when activated through your fun, your drive, and your active participation in what lights you up, literally.

Make sure the purpose-driven flame is stoked by things that bring you joy and pleasure rather than ire or anger. Both burn, but one is clear and nourishing while the other may scorch with devastating effects on your body and being.

One burns bright and steady, moving with purpose; the other like a shooting star — fleeting, losing momentum, strength, and resolve.

You are most at ease, most in joy, most your true self through intentionally doing and being your true self — acting on the impulses that bring excitement and passion to you.

Whether cooking a meal or planning a gathering, do it with a level of intense excitement — or not at all. Wait until alignment arises, and then — not before.

The result and your being will both benefit from your intention.

Set the tables of your life with the glow of satisfaction that comes from knowing you are doing for you, first and foremost. Then enjoy the company of all who bask in the glow of the gathering.
