Rise

As a moth is drawn to the light for its warmth and illumination, so are others drawn to your internal light. It provides a sense of stability. When you allow your inner light—the trueness of your being, your true self—to shine, others are naturally attracted in the same way.

Before someone recognizes that they, too, hold this light, they often seek it outwardly, looking for power or validation from external sources. Their own light may be dimmed by guilt, shame, or doubt—or they may not even know it exists. Yet by witnessing and bathing in the light of another, their own begins to flicker, offering them a felt sense they can nurture and grow.

Think of it like a sourdough starter or a friendship batter: your job is already well done simply by beaming your own light—not out of effort, but by living in the ways that bring you joy, pleasure, or even a simple measure of contentment. This is your gift to others. In being, doing, and having for yourself, you demonstrate that they too have this ability.

Will it look the same? No—and it never needs to. Their desires are uniquely their own and must not be imitated in order to thrive. On the contrary, it is only by discovering and feeling their own light that they will do more, live more, and inspire more in others.

Consider yourself the yeast that allows others to rise. It is not your job, nor does it require effort—only the desire to be just as you are, in all things. You are beautifully and wonderfully made.
