Removing the Mask

August 1

THE MASKS THAT YOU WEAR are no less than the gas masks used by your anesthetist during surgery. They tune you out of your body to anesthetize—stop feeling. The awakening you are experiencing is like removing the mask and clearing the fog, allowing you to truly feel into your body.

Bless the sensations that may feel stronger or even new as you become attuned to them. Welcome pain as it is a deliverer of a message—not to be covered or dismissed—but it may represent something more than just the body area you are experiencing it. It always is.

Even cutting out an area that is causing concern isn’t solving anything if—and unless—you address the root cause: the emotion, the displacement of your feelings around a stored incident or injury.

Cutting it out or excising is like wiping up a spill from a still-leaking vessel. You’ll still have the problem or issue unless the source is addressed.

Allow your breath to explore the area, with curiosity and while in a meditative or theta state. Once you’ve determined—not with your thinking mind—the cause, it will in most cases resolve itself with internal functions that are available to you. You are meant to heal from within.

Your body and limbic system are designed to function as one. Bless the pain, go within, and allow resolution to be found and corrected all without effort—if that is your desire: heal without fear. The presence of fear will prevent the healing process.

To thine own self be true.
