The Cave Within

Returning to the inner cave of that which you were birthed from—

before the womb, before incarnation—

the solemnity of peace, of complete choice, of resonance.

It may be accessed through entering in rather than going out,

through complete and utter stillness,

like that of a still night within.

There you may remain until the impulse to move toward light,

toward curiosity, is piqued.

Staying until full restoration—

complete recharge—

is advisable and beneficial before ascending into the open.

Like a paloma unfolding on warm palms.

You will remember.

No renewal vow to once find home in joy—

but a vowing to be on one’s own resonance.

Lying where memory does not intrude

and peace is present.
