Find My Self

Like the constant pinging of a device when in the “Find My Friends” mode, your Self—your true self—will always be calling.

If the sound is distant or muffled, it is only letting you know that you are farther away rather than near. To realign and find your friend—your best friend—feel, rather than hear, the continuous call.

Feel through your emotions.

Feel through your feelings.

If you are on the trail of happiness, of well-being, then you are drawing nearer. But if the sound—or the feel—of your true self, your True Tone, is distant, you are far, or getting farther.

The best consolation in being distant is the awareness—the Knowing—that it is you who has pulled, stretched, or traveled away from your seated and settled position of either awareness or the track of joy.

Like with the infinity symbol, it is as if you are on a track of fun—and once you’ve crossed the threshold of neutrality and into the sense of fear, doom, or even discontent, you may be assured you have entered the side or ride that is not as pleasant.

Not to fear, as there is always a way back.

Always the ability to turn around.

Not by going in reverse, for you cannot reverse while still looking toward the direction that is undesired. That would be retreat—and retreat is uncomfortable and fearful.

But rather, a complete about-face—as if you are on a Lazy Susan and may spin immediately, pivoting toward your desired direction.

Once you cross into the area that feels scary and it is no longer fun, you may pivot.

Always your choice.

Like the funhouse ride, where the lights, music, and surroundings change from light-hearted glee to a sense of misadventure—you may remain as long as it serves you. No need to bail or disrupt the boat of your ride.

Truly—turn around.

Change direction by spinning around, and your boat will follow your lead.

Simple, yes.

But easy? Not always.

Yet always your choice.

And always guided.

Are you following your own guidance?
