Cultivating the Garden of Your Mind

Curiosity is the birthplace of all new ideas and creations. It fosters fresh thoughts, hunches, and intuition. Your mind is like a garden, and your thoughts are the seeds you plant. Weeds represent what may have been planted by others, which can choke out your own growth if you allow them to. Alternatively, you can choose to cultivate and prune these weeds.

Tend to your thoughts carefully and shower them with love and attention. If you focus only on the weeds, they will continue to take over your garden. However, if you concentrate on what you've planted, those thoughts will flourish. Occasionally, step back and assess whether what you are planting and nurturing is what you truly want to see or consume.

Begin with fertile soil—a blank slate achieved by clearing your patch of land or meditating to set the landscape of your mind. Enjoy the process, and you will reap the fruits of your efforts. Be open to trying new things; stay curious and you’ll be planting new and more thoughts and ideas in your garden to enjoy.
