Castles in the Sand
Building castles made of sand is rewarding and fun, but it is known that it is never yours to keep, nor for it to remain with any long-term purpose other than to have fun building, enjoying the handiwork of your efforts of joy, and for the admiration of others—to show them what actually can be created with sand.
This is also the way of life. There is no competition; only a life well lived with the tools at hand. The creative prowess of building a life that you want, for the sole purpose of enjoyment and admiration of your handiwork.
It is never intended to last past the next tide or child at play. No attachments to what you’ve built except the creative purpose of having your hands, body, mind, and soul involved in the creating.
At the end of the day—the sunset of your life—you’ll clean your tools in the full body of ocean and return to that which is all, just as the grains of sand.
They’re always happy to be included in the creation—of the beauty inspired by thoughts and passersby, to be admired. Not in a proud, boastful way, but in the bonding together to create. Always at the ready to create again.
Every fiber of your being, every energetic component of you, is in that way like the grains of sand. Happy to be of service and loving their contribution.
Create, allow, enjoy, admire, receive pats on your back for the job well done. Then wash your tools and pack up.
There is always another beach, more castles to be built, or simply enjoy lounging and listening to the surf, knowing it is all there for you.
Enjoy it all, and know you’re fully supported, held, and welcomed home at the end of the day—with a job well done and open arms.
