Casting Without a Need to Catch

Each acknowledged breath is like a line cast into the lake you’re fishing in—for pure enjoyment.

Not with the hope of a big catch, but for the nibbles, the niggles, the nudges that let you know they’re there and interested in what you offer.

You then have a choice: to observe or to play.

To move the line a bit, add interest…

Or to observe all the lines you have cast and simply lie back—enjoying the beauty, the warmth, the feel of being in that moment. That presence. That satisfied place that is so serene you may be lulled into rest, into non-action.

This is beauty. And this is choice.

You may play in any arena, putting forth effort with any particular line. Or, if you desire, fret and worry over why one line feels still or dormant.

Or you may enjoy the peace—and allow that peace to draw your biggest catch, your dream catch, which once caught, will naturally lead you on to the next.

There is always more.

Allow.

Enjoy the stillness.

Rest and complete peace are welcomed—and appreciated.
